Newquay Railway Station could get a second platform if funding bids to the Government are successful. Cornwall Council say they've been working with Great Western Railway to develop a number of plans to improve the Newquay to Par branch line. It's also been revealed a new timetable is come into force from December meaning commuters could leave Newquay and be in work in Truro or Plymouth before 9am.
