Carl Perkins -- the King of Rockabilly Born April 9, 1932 in Tiptonville, TN Died January 19, 1998 in Jackson, TN Perkins helped define the early rockabilly sound and put Memphis' Sun Records on the map with classic songs like "Blue Suede Shoes," "Matchbox," "Honey, Don't," and "Everybody's Trying to Be My Baby". Later he toured with Johnny Cash, and wrote songs like "Daddy Sang Bass". He sings it here with Jerry Lee's sister, Linda Gail Lewis. | GatorRock
