Officials in the Gatlinburg area say the mountains are still open but there are some closures in the Smoky Mountains. The Cades Cove Loop Road and some roads around Balsam Mountain are shut down. You'll also find visitor centers are closed as well as a few picnic areas but the main tourist roads like Newfound Gap and Roaring Fork are still open. Most hiking trails and waterfalls are still available to catch the beautiful "Daylight" of the mountains. Just be sure to plan ahead since many restroom
