Please press share. I want to let others join us. I was lazy! I bought a rotisserie chicken. I have eaten off of it. This makes the third meal. But when you put some good honey butter on top of some bread to eat with your chicken salad that you're baking it carries it to a whole new level. I might as well call this chicken salad, chicken fruit salad. Fix your family some real macaroni cheese. Nobody needs to be eating fake cheese. My mother had certain menus that she used. Here's one of them ham fresh green beans, macaroni cheese, fried okra, cornbread, and sweet tea. Did your mother have certain menus and foods that she put together each time my mama did? | Cooking with Brenda Gantt

Today I'm making me a potato bowl. Instead of baking the potato I'm cutting it up and so it will turn out to be a loaded potato bowl. I do this because it's quicker if I'm hungry. Have you ever done this before? It's so good and you could put whatever you have on it on this old cold gray day | Cooking with Brenda Gantt

I'm making up a broccoli casserole out of what I have in my refrigerator. I always say - if you put good ingredients in a dish a delicious casserole or soup can be made. We ate this one for Sunday dinner. It was perfect. The bacon was great on it too. It's 29 degrees here in Andalusia , Alabama this morning. The snow will be melting in a few minutes because the temp is rising fast. Have a great day. I hear snow and cold weather is coming to many in our great nation this coming weekend. Bundle up

Stewed apples are great as a part your meal or as baby food or a snack. My mother would stew a big batch of apples down for our family. This was her menu : big roasted ham, green beans, smother fried potatoes, stewed apples and cornbread. They make a wonderful side dish for your family. I put the left over apples in the refrigerator and eat them ice cold with a dash of cinnamon later in the day. If you have a little child at home, make this for them. It has no preservatives and no added sugars.

This French Onion soup is so special and really so easy to make. Remember to use the boxed beef broth NOT THE ONES IN CANS. THEY ATE TO SALTY. The grandchildren loved it for a light Christmas Day lunch. Hannah cooked a big Christmas supper for us on Christmas night. I'm ready for some down home cooking now. Purple hull peas and corn bread. Our first night in Montana. We were so happy to be on a family vacation together. Nothing like family. We cooked and ate together as a family. Hugged necks and told stories. When we got back home and were given out but happy to be back home. America is beautiful no matter what state you are from. But as the old saying goes. There’s NO PLACE LIKE HOME. !! | Cooking with Brenda Gantt

Good Morning Y'all. Yesterday I made myself Hamburger Steak, fluffy Rice and Gravy. I also will show you how I made ordinary loaf bread into something delicious. Just to let y'all know, my goldfish did not die even though their tank had an inch of solid ice on the top of the tank. So my fish are ready for spring. They will eat all the mosquito larva as soon as the turn into wrigglers. That's how I keep my mosquito population down around my house. I rarely have mosquitoes now. I also planted two

Boston Butt is one of the easiest meats to cook in the oven , on the grill or in your crock pot. One of the great things about it is the great left overs. It's so easy. No slaving in the kitchen. ! Everyone will be full and satisfied!! I'm cooking mine on 400 degrees but you can cook it on 350. I'm just in a hurry 😂😂😂😂😂. You are going to love the coffee table book. The Southern Mirror. How long has it been since you made tuna fish salad. I like boiled eggs in mine but I was in a hurry and did do it this time. I'm excited about my January cataract removal. I'm praying that all goes well. The reason I need to wait until January is because I have guest coming to the B and B until then. I will be busy until then. Have you had this cataract removal? To start off, let me say-I am not a professional artist. I like to play in my art room. Today I'm sharing with you my painting of the caladium leaves. Last summer, I went out to my wheelbarrow and took pictures of my caladiums that I had planted in my wheelbarrow. I love the look of the giant Caladium leaves. When winter got here I opened up my phone and looked at the pictures that I had taken of my leaves I decided to paint them on a piece of art paper. So on cold days when you can't get outsid

Barbecued Spare Ribs This is one meal we have to have every now and then. I know it’s a big purchase for a small family, but they are so delicious. Here is what I do with the left over ribs. Pull the meat off the bones, chop it up for BQ sandwiches with dill pickles. Fix a skillet of French fries and you have another meal. Waste not want not !! | Cooking with Brenda Gantt

This lasagna was easy to make. You can do it. It's great for Thanksgiving because you can make it ahead of time. It will reduce stress because when your company comes in you have something to serve before the actual Thanksgiving meal.
