Failing to stop for school buses is illegal and puts children at risk. The OPP reminds everyone to stay alert and follow the rules of the road • Stop when school bus red lights are flashing • Leave at least 20 metres when stopped behind a bus • Obey the stop-sign arm and flashing lights before moving again • Pay attention to reduced speed limits in school zones, neighbourhoods and areas with high foot traffic These rules apply year-round.
