On March 29, 2025, a trooper was investigating a collision on Interstate 5 when his patrol car, which had its lights activated, was struck by another vehicle. Thankfully, the trooper was outside the patrol car at the time and was not injured. The driver of the other vehicle was arrested for driving under the influence (DUI).
