Samsung has started pushing out the One UI 6 Watch update to older Galaxy Watch models, starting with the Galaxy Watch 6.

Samsung has officially launched the long-awaited One UI 6 Watch update with Wear OS 5, bringing a suite of new features and improvements to its Galaxy Watch lineup.

In the US, owners of the Galaxy Watch 6 series and older models are starting to receive the One UI 6 Watch update.

Samsung's One UI 6 update for the Galaxy Watch series is now stable, with new features and a 1.5GB download size. The update includes an Energy Score metric, Workout Routine option, and an improved sleep tracking algorithm. Older Galaxy Watch models will receive the update soon, after the release on the latest Galaxy Watch 6 models.

Back in June of this year, Samsung surprised us a bit by opening up a Wear OS 5 and One UI 6 Watch beta program for Galaxy Watch devices, like the Galaxy Watch 6. For those who lost track, Samsung never did send the stable version of that update out,

Today, Samsung announced that the One UI 6 Watch operating system is starting to roll out to older Galaxy Watches. Additionally, the update will bring some features currently available on the Galaxy Watch Ultra and Galaxy Watch 7, two of the best smartwatches, to select Galaxy Watches.

Last week, Samsung announced plans to begin the rollout of One UI 6 Watch to older Galaxy Watch models. The update began rolling out today for some Galaxy Watch 6 and Watch 6 Classic users in the U.S.

One UI 6 is now fully rolling out for the Galaxy Watch 6 after only being available in a beta version for some time.

Samsung has concluded the One UI 6 Watch beta program for the Galaxy Watch 4 series, rolling out the stable Wear OS 5 update for beta users.
