Texas state House Republicans are ready to pass their redistricting bill Wednesday as the session reconvenes at 11 a.m. EDT Wednesday after weeks of fighting.

California Democrats are making moves to put a ballot measure pushing pro-Democratic maps before voters this fall. Other Republican-controlled states are looking at redraws, too.

TEXAS REDISTRICTING: Texas legislators are scheduled to vote on the GOP’s plan to redraw the state’s congressional map after Democratic lawmakers returned to Austin. Democrats had fled the state for two weeks to block a vote on the map, and several spent last night on the statehouse floor in a protest.
