The interesting part is that the trip from the Cardinals' spring training site, Roger Dean Chevrolet Stadium in Jupiter, Fla., to the Yankees' site is roughly three hours, quite the commute for a player of Arenado's stature at this early juncture in the spring.

His former Cardinals teammate, Paul Goldschmidt is now with the Yankees, so that could potentially be a reason, but it's also worth noting that Arenado had the Yankees as one of his preferred destinations before trade attempts fell apart.

John Mozeliak and the St. Louis Cardinals haven't given up on trying to find a trade partner for third baseman Nolan Arenado, and they made sure to give the New York Yankees a long look in spring training on Wednesday.
