Enzo Maresca received a public vote of confidence from the Chelsea hierarchy earlier this week and it has gone down well with the 45-year-old.

Chelsea co-owner Jonathan Goldstein insists head coach Enzo Maresca, who is under increasing pressure, will remain in charge until the end of the season. Maresca inked a five-year contract when he joined this summer and oversaw an excellent start which had Chelsea touted as outside contenders for the Premier League title in December.

Enzo Maresca has welcomed public backing from Chelsea director Jonathan Goldstein over his future as head coach and insists he does have the ambition to succeed this season.
