George Russell says he won't follow Lando Norris by changing his approach to Formula 1 champion Max Verstappen following a feud last season. Russell accused Verstappen of bullying in November and claimed the Dutch driver had threatened to crash into him deliberately.

George Russell has not spoken to Formula One champion Max Verstappen since their end-of-season bust-up in Abu Dhabi last December and the Mercedes driver said on Tuesday he was not about to change his approach either.

George Russell insisted his run-in with Max Verstappen was in the past but reiterated that he will not be pushed around on track.

Russell came back fighting at the season finale in Abu Dhabi. He claimed that Verstappen ‘couldn’t handle adversity’ and suggested that his frequent radio outbursts were damaging team morale at Red Bull. No resolution to the conflict was reached during the off-season.

Emotions ran pretty high between George Russell and Max Verstappen at the end of last season. The Briton thought Verstappen was not racing fairly, while the Dutchman thought his Mercedes colleague was overly dramatic.
