The San Francisco 49ers have promoted assistant Klay Kubiak into the offensive coordinator role that had been vacant the past two seasons and replaced Brian Griese as quarterbacks coach.

Brian Griese, who championed Brock Purdy before the 2022 draft and mentored the San Francisco 49ers quarterback for his first three NFL seasons while serving as his position coach, is no longer on the team’s coaching staff.
