With the iPhone 20-year anniversary fast approaching, Apple will need to rely on China to develop this complex product.

To combat rising tariffs, Apple has already increased production in India, sending about 600 tons of iPhones worth $2 billion to the U.S. in March. These shipments marked a record for both Foxconn and Tata, with Foxconn alone contributing $1.3 billion in iPhone shipments.

India’s manufacturing share, depending on estimates, ranged between 10% to 20% at the end of 2024. Apple’s global iPhone shipments for the year were 232.1 million.
