Less than three days after Thomas Frank was confirmed at the new manager of Tottenham Hotspur, Spurs have officially announced his first summer signing.

Mathys Tel has become Tottenham's first signing of the Thomas Frank era and while he could be fully unleashed, another transfer completed recently is perfect for the Dane. Spurs officially confirmed Frank as their new head coach from Brentford on Thursday and just over 72 hours later,

Tel was originally signed on loan in January, with a view to a permanent deal under former boss Ange Postecoglou. Frank is said to have given the deal his approval, with Spurs making the move permanent, as Postecoglou had intended. Tel made 20 appearances in all competitions for Spurs in 2024-25, scoring three goals and registering one assist.
