The movie has a ways to go before it’s profitable. But importantly, the DC gang managed to make a superhero movie that fans actually enjoyed.

"Superman" is well-liked and should play for weeks in the U.S., but DC's path back to tentpole powerhouse status will take time.

There's more good news for Superman, because after soaring to the biggest Wednesday of 2025, the DC Studios movie has already grossed more than Black Adam did during its entire run at the U.S. box office.
