A former pastor of a Texas megachurch has been indicted in Oklahoma on child sexual abuse charges from an incident that happened in the 1980s.

The North Texas megachurch founder and former spiritual advisor to President Donald Trump, Robert Morris, is facing child sex abuse indictments in Oklahoma, where the attorney general said the statute of limitations has not run out on the alleged incidents from the 1980s.

Four North Texas lawmakers are proposing to abolish nondisclosure agreements in child sexual abuse settlements, which often force victims to stay silent for the rest of their lives about their abuse.
