Shark bites 18-year-old surfing in New Smyrna Beach, officials say
NEW SMYRNA BEACH, Fla. – An 18-year-old man was bitten by a shark in New Smyrna Beach on Friday, according to Volusia County Beach Safety. The New Smyrna Beach man was bitten on his foot around 12 p.m. while he was surfing in the area of North Beach Community Park, a Volusia County Beach Safety spokesperson said in a statement.
