Australia could be without both Pat Cummins and Nathan Lyon for the fourth Ashes Test in Melbourne, which begins on Boxing Day.

Nathan Lyon injured himself while trying to chase the ball in the deep and was forced to leave the field in the first session on Day 5 of the third Ashes Test at the Adelaide Oval on Sunday, December 21. Later, it was confirmed that he had injured his hamstring.

Nathan Lyon has suffered a right hamstring injury and will not bowl again in the third Ashes Test match. The injury also puts him in serious doubt for the remainder of the series.
