Texas Republicans were divided but ultimately pivotal in helping President Donald Trump’s "Big Beautiful" Bill clear the U.S. House on Thursday. The bill passed in a narrow 218–214 vote, and despite vocal criticism from within the Texas GOP delegation, all 25 Texas Republican representatives—and both senators—voted in favor.

President Trump is scheduled to sign the bill into law at 4 p.m. on July 4 at the White House, locking in tax reductions and Medicaid cuts.

But almost all of the Republican holdouts on the megabill flipped and voted to advance the legislation early Thursday — setting up a final vote. During the all-nighter, GOP leaders kept the procedural vote open for almost six hours as they worked to flip 12 votes.
