Grok, the artificially intelligent chatbot built into the social media platform X, is among the “worst” AI chatbots available and is unsafe for children and teenagers, concludes a risk assessment released Jan. 27 by Common Sense Media, a nonprofit organization that studies youth and technology.

WASHINGTON (AP) — Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth said Monday that Elon Musk’s artificial intelligence chatbot Grok will join Google’s generative AI engine in operating inside the Pentagon network, as part of a broader push to feed as much of the military’s data as possible into the developing technology.

“We assess a lot of AI chatbots at Common Sense Media, and they all have risks, but Grok is among the worst we’ve seen,” Robbie Torney of Common Sense Media said.
