The Cincinnati Bengals continued their busy offseason with the introduction of newly-hired defensive coordinator, Al Golden, formerly of Notre Dame.

Stemming is a pre-snap motion for the defense but slanting and stunting is essentially a post snap motion for the defense. Slanting is taking the defensive line and moving them to a different position after the snap. Often accompanied by a blitz of some kind or at least sending a linebacker or defensive back while dropping a player on the front.

The Cincinnati Bengals need quite a bit of help. However, for the first time in quite a while, they aren’t highly expected to go offensive line with their first-round pick. That will be addressed later in the draft,
