A majority of Americans say they disapprove of Donald Trump’s second term – with even some Republicans hitting the president.

A recurring theme among demonstrators at the Miami "No Kings" protest was anger over President Trump’s immigration policies, which have sharply curtailed illegal border crossings while also pushing to speed up and expand deportations.

Demonstrations in McAllen, Midland, Odessa, Austin and elsewhere in Texas were largely peaceful, as some protests went well into the night.

President Trump's approach to deportations is giving Democrats a unifying message in opposition to him. But the Democratic Party still lacks a common vision for what it would do differently.
