‘It’s very scary’: 300-acre brush fire burns near Keuka Road in Putnam County, homes evacuated
A large brush fire burning off Keuka Road prompted evacuations and road closures as heavy smoke created dangerous conditions across parts of Putnam County.
The 50-acre Lakeshore gem boasts a swim beach, fishing pier, modern campground and secluded lodge nestled in sand dunes.
Some Michigan state park and recreation area campgrounds will be closed for a portion of the 2026 camping season.
