OTTAWA — Former Bank of Canada governor Mark Carney used an interview on U.S. late-night television on Monday to attack Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre and make his case for the Liberal leadership.

There were a few problems with Carney’s Daily Show appearance, however, and they had much less to do with what he said than where and to whom he said it.
Stewart didn’t start from an angry place. When the show began, he focused on the outpouring of generosity and goodwill from all corners of the globe. Firecrews came in from Mexico and Canada to help California despite the frequent attacks from our future president.
