A retired Connecticut State Police detective who works as a part-time officer in Deep River was arrested on a DUI charge in Old Saybrook over the weekend. Scott Wisner, 58, of Old Lyme was arrested Saturday at 11:24 p.
Cops were called to Brooklyn Bridge Park near Old Fulton and Furman Sts. about 6:45 a.m. when the victim, who is believed to be Asian and in his 30s, was found floating under the bridge.
NYPD officers rescued a 30-year-old man who fell through the ice on Prospect Park Lake Sunday evening. The rescue happened shortly after 9 p.m. near the Croquet Shelter. Officers received a 911 call about a distressed man walking on the frozen lake and found him standing next to a buoy.
The NYPD did not comment on the lawsuit. The city Law Department and the West Indian American Day Carnival Association also did not respond to requests for comment.
