The labor market showed signs of weakening, with 73,000 jobs added in July and gains for the previous two months revised significantly lower.

U.S. employers added 147,000 jobs last month, according to a report from the Labor Department on Thursday. That's roughly in line with the average pace of hiring over the last 12 months.
