When I open Word, it automatically evokes a new file (Document1) as a blank document page. That’s fine if I want to start a new document, but more often than not, I just want to open an existing file.

1. Start Word and open a new blank document. 2. In the ribbon menu, click Review. 3. Click Compare and then, in the drop-down menu, click Compare again.
