Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight believes much of his writing on Daisy Ridley's Star Wars will still make it into the movie despite his departure.

Peaky Blinders will continue beyond the upcoming film, says creator Steven Knight, sparking rumours of a potential new series. Speaking to BBC Breakfast on Tuesday, he said that work so far on The Immortal Man: A Peaky Blinders Film looks "fantastic" and will prove to be "a very fitting way to end this part of the Peaky story.

Knight says "no one will be disappointed" by the film, which he calls "a very fitting way to end this part of the ‘Peaky' story."

Steven Knight announced the Peaky Blinders finale film before the Peaky Blinders final season had even aired. In keeping with tradition, Knight has now more or less announced a Peaky Blinders spin-off before the film has premiered.

In June 2024, Netflix confirmed that a Peaky Blinders movie would be happening with Cillian Murphy reprising his role as Tommy Shelby. "It seems like Tommy Shelby wasn't finished with me …" Murphy shared in a statement at the time.
