LOS ANGELES -- Mattias Janmark scored the go-ahead goal at 7:12 of the third period and the Edmonton Oilers won their third straight game against the Los Angeles Kings, 3-1 in Game 5 of the Western Conference First Round at Crypto.com Arena on Tuesday.

The Oilers controlled the first two periods and then put a dent in Darcy Kuemper’s stellar performance as Mattias Janmark’s goal at 7:12 of the third period snapped a tie game and lifted Edmonton to a 3-1 victory at Crypto.com Arena.

Negative momentum from the Kings’ pair of heart-wrenching losses in Edmonton carried over into an opening salvo for the Oilers that saw them hit the net 19 times to the Kings’ four. In all, the Kings were outshot 52-17 in the third period and overtime of Game 4 combined with the first period of Game 5.
