The Tesla mogul could become the world's first trillionaire after shareholders voted Thursday to approve a new CEO pay package.

SpaceX could eventually become a public company, Elon Musk said Thursday. Why it matters: Often listed as one of the most valuable private companies in the world, SpaceX has spurned the public markets so far, remaining privately held by Musk and its investors.

Elon Musk’s appearance on the popular podcast The Joe Rogan Experience featured plenty of notable moments. However, one that certainly stood out above the rest was a gentleman’s agreement prompted by Musk.

The money will be awarded in a series of payments over 10 years if Tesla meets a series of performance benchmarks.
