ALBANY — Dontie Mitchell, whose anti-crime efforts in prison prompted Gov. Andrew Cuomo to commute his robbery sentence three years ago, was acquitted of attempted murder Monday in an Aug. 11, 2023, shooting in Cohoes that left a man dead.
