Dallas-Fort Worth will warm up and cool off this week, ahead of rain arriving over the weekend. Temperatures on Monday, Dec. 9, will warm up to the upper 60s and low 70s, according to the National Weather Service Fort Worth. By late Monday, a cold front will make its way over the North Texas region.

Weather forecasters are cautioning drivers to take it slow on the road in North Texas this weekend, as showers are expected throughout Saturday and Sunday while patchy fog could develop at night. Several North Texas cities also postponed or canceled their holiday activities as a result,

A clipper system arrives late today with strong south winds, scattered snow showers, and minor travel impacts. Treacherous travel becomes likely overnight into Thursday morning with steadier, heavier snow and wind gusts in excess of 40+ mph.
