Two people hospitalized for smoke inhalation after early morning fire at Southfield apartment complex displaces 27 residents and two dogs.

Four people were displaced when their house in the eastern part of the city burned Tuesday.

Fire crews were dispatched to the scene around 5:30 a.m., said Andy Ogburn, the East Peoria Fire Department’s assistant chief.
