A major winter storm is set to hit Toronto and the GTA on Sunday, creating some pretty serious travel issues. Environment Canada has issued an orange winter storm warning, calling for snowfall amounts of between 20 and 40 cm.

Toronto's largest snowfall on record is giving property and auto insurers an early-season test, after a "monster" storm buried parts of the city under nearly 60cm of snow on Sunday, disrupted transit and triggered hundreds of collisions across the region.
To keep airfield surfaces operational, snow-clearing crews are actively working on runways, taxiways, and apron areas. Teams are operating continuous snowplow rotations to maintain roughly five million square metres of airport surfaces.
