Following an MRI on Thursday, it was confirmed that junior center Carter Welling suffered a torn ACL during Wednesday’s win over Wake Forest in the second round of the ACC Tournament. There is no timetable yet for Welling’s return.

Anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) tears can be devastating to athletes across a range of sports, from basketball and football to soccer and skiing.

For most athletes, one ACL tear is enough to change everything, but for Bridget Froehlke, a senior guard on the UW-Oshkosh women’s basketball team, three didn’t stop her.  The senior from Wrightstown started her collegiate career at the University of Missouri-Kansas City.
