Disney Cruise Line (DCL) expects its newest and biggest cruise ship, the Disney Adventure, to be a game changer in the tourism industry in Asia, a company executive said.

The ship’s godparent, actor Robert Downey Jr., appeared on stage during the ceremony to deliver the traditional blessing for the vessel.

The 6,700-passenger ship is the brand’s first to homeport in Asia, where it will sail on three- and four-night voyages around Singapore for its inaugural season.
