The Cincinnati Bengals have started making cuts as the NFL offseason is in full swing and the team announced they’ve moved on from defensive tackle Sheldon Rankins. In cutting Rankins now, the Bengals free up $9.6 million in cap space.

The Cincinnati Bengals got one big piece of the offseason puzzle slotted on Friday by announcing the release of defensive tackle Sheldon Rankins. With the expected move, the Bengals free up roughly $9.5 million in free cap space, tacking that total onto the higher-than-expected NFL salary cap for 2025.
