The Los Angeles Rams have been reminded time and again how close the margins are between winning and losing. Their latest lesson, a 38-37 overtime loss to the Seattle Seahawks on Thursday, could prove to be the most costly.
WOODLAND HILLS, Ca. The Los Angeles Rams love to hate as they've kicked off several battles that have brought the best from their opponents. It's clear that the team has three distinct rivalries brewing in the NFC and due to how things are shaping up, the Rams could see their enemies in the postseason, as soon as the Wild Card round.
The Seahawks quarterback threw two interceptions but rallied Seattle from a 16-point deficit to win the game in overtime.
The Seahawks took an early 7-0 lead. After the defense forced a turnover on downs, the hosts went 61 yards on five plays, the biggest one being a 46-yard screen pass to Kenneth Walker III. Zach Charbonnet finished the drive with a 4-yard run up the middle.
One of the most notable moments came on Seattle's game-tying two-point conversion in the fourth quarter. It was initially ruled that Sam Darnold threw an incomplete pass that was batted down at the line of scrimmage, but replay review determined it was a backward pass and fumble that the Seahawks recovered in the end zone.
Matthew Stafford credits Rams coach Sean McVay with creating a schedule that allows him to be present for his daughters, and it seems to be working. The Rams are currently 11-3, and those “MVP” chants follow Matthew Stafford wherever he goes, even at home with his four delightful daughters.
