According to Phoenix police, a fight arose between two roommates and ended in a gunshot. When officers arrived, they found two men, one injured. He was taken to a nearby hospital but did not survive. The other was taken in for questioning by the police, but released "pending ongoing investigation."

PHOENIX — A police officer shot and killed an armed suspect in west Phoenix on Thursday night, authorities said. The fatal shooting occurred around 10:40 p.m. in a Maryvale neighborhood near 75th Avenue and Indian School Road, according to the Phoenix Police Department.
