No. 3 Notre Dame suffered a second consecutive loss on Thursday as it fell at home to No. 24 Florida State, 86-81. This is the first time the Fighting Irish have lost back-to-back ACC games since 2021.

The loss drops Notre Dame into a first-place tie with NC State in the ACC standings and all but guarantees the Irish will be the No. 2 seed in next week’s ACC Tournament. The Wolfpack holds the tiebreaker with the Irish after last Sunday’s head-to-head win.
