Tributes have been Delano High School student killed in a motorcycle crash in Wright County on Sunday afternoon. Kurtis Wasik, 17, a senior and lacrosse player at Delano High School. was killed when he collided with a Honda Pilot while riding his motorcycle near County Road 13 and County Road 30 in Wright County.

An investigation found that Torbjorn Vetland, of Stroudsburg, was driving his Harley-Davidson motorcycle north on the Turnpike on the right shoulder and that he struck the right guardrail, overturned, and was ejected from his motorcycle. Vetland sustained fatal injuries.

An Apple Valley man died following a weekend motorcycle crash, authorities said Tuesday. Anthony Gonzales, 47, was killed in the crash, which took place about 7:10 p.m. Sunday along Navajo Road, just south of Waalew Road, according to San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department and coroner's officials.

The driver of the motorcycle, 17-year-old Kurtis Wasik, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Honda was uninjured.

On Monday, Delano Public Schools said in a district-wide email that Delano High School senior Kurtis Wasik died in the crash. The sheriff's office also identified the victim as Wasik. A GoFundMe for Wasik has already raised over $24,000 to help support his family.
