The 2024 Kentucky football season is over, and it ended with a whimper. The Wildcats (4-8 overall and 1-7 in SEC play) lost the annual Governor’s Cup rivalry game to Louisville (8-4 overall and 5-3 in the ACC) 41-14 on Saturday afternoon at Kroger Field in Lexington.

The bitter defeat put a capper on an ugly 4-8 season for the Wildcats in which they finished 15th out of 16 in the SEC and failed to achieve bowl eligibility for the first time since 2015.
