Maple Leafs head coach Craig Berube touched on Joseph Woll's performance following a loss to the Blackhawks in what was a highly-anticipated season debut.

Woll stopped 25 of 28 shots in his second game of a conditioning loan with the Marlies on Wednesday afternoon.

After falling 3-2 to Chicago, Toronto lost its fifth straight game and dropped to an 8-9-2 record for the season.

Woll (personal) is expected to start on the road against Chicago on Saturday, per David Alter of The Hockey News.

While he wasn't particularly bad in this game and didn't have any blame for the goals he conceded, the offense didn't provide him enough support. Woll's next chance to earn his first win of the campaign will come Tuesday against the Blues at home.
