Jayson Tatum remains listed as doubtful for the Boston Celtics, meaning the reigning NBA champions do not expect him to play Friday when they visit the Orlando Magic in Game 3 of an Eastern Conference first-round series.

Tatum suffered a right wrist bone bruise in Game 1 of the first round series against the Magic. The injury occurred in the fourth quarter when he went up for a dunk and was knocked out of the air by Orlando's Kentavious Caldwell-Pope. Tatum hit the ground hard and Caldwell-Pope earned a flagrant foul.

The Tatum injury is vital to Boston’s quest to repeat as NBA champions, and some were led to believe the injury was not an incidental action by the Magic guard. One person in particular who accused Caldwell-Pope of intentionally hurting Tatum was Celtics veteran center Al Horford.
