A blast of arctic air over the eastern U.S. will bring wintry weather to parts of Florida through the weekend into next week, forecasters said.

The frigid temperatures that greeted residents of Northeast Florida and Southeast Georgia to begin December will continue into the work week.

Several South Georgia counties are still under a freeze warning. According to the National Weather Service (NWS), a freeze warning has been issued from 8:19 a.m. on Sunday, Dec. 1, until 9 a.m. on Monday,

A freeze warning has been issued for areas along and east of Interstate 95 for tonight into Saturday morning. Clearing skies and calm winds will allow temperatures to fall to and below freezing across the area.

A freeze warning is in effect over parts of Northwest Florida where temperatures are expected to dip as low as 28 degrees.
