A French politician has suggested the U.S. is no longer worthy of keeping the Statue of Liberty. A member of the European Parliament and co-president of a small left-wing party, Raphaël Glucksmann's call for the return of the monument is not going to make it happen.

The Trump administration will not entertain a French politician’s request to return the Statue of Liberty to France.
