President Donald Trump’s administration asked the US Supreme Court to block a judge’s order that requires the immediate disbursement of as much as $2 billion in USAID humanitarian-assistance projects around the world.

In a court filing, administration lawyers also said the government would miss the judge’s deadline to restart funding that has been on pause since January.
