The Fairport Harbor Fire Department says they have received reports of flooding on High Street and near the Western Reserve Yacht Club. The ice jam started in Painesville and has travelled to Fairport Harbor. Fire chiefs from both areas are teaming up to monitor the situation and alert the public.

Painesville announced on Feb. 27 that Kiwanis Recreation Park will be closed until further notice because of flooding on the Grand River. The city said in a news release that an ice jam from Fairport Harbor to Painesville caused “dangerous flooding conditions with heavy ice and debris.
