The Anderson County Sheriff's Office is working to see if there is a connection between this armed robbery and several others that occurred around the new year.

A man was arrested in connection to an armed robbery that took place at a Dollar General on Monday, according to the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office. On Monday January 6, deputies were called out to a Dollar General store located on SC-252 in Belton.

An armed robbery was reported Monday evening at a Dollar General in Anderson County. The Anderson County Sheriff’s Office said the incident occurred on Highway 252. No injuries were reported, deputies said.

In 2021, he was sentenced to six years in prison for armed robbery. He served one year and was released on probation for five years.

The Elizabeth City Police Department says officers were called to a Dollar General at 1903 Weeksville Road for an armed robbery around 9:40 p.m. The police department says they are looking for two men after speaking with employees who say they entered the business with handguns demanding money.
