Snow plow crash caused hundreds of Cheshire power outages Monday morning, Eversource says
Eversource said the nearly 1,000 power outages have been mostly restored.
Declaring a state of emergency provides the governor with the authority to take certain actions necessary to protect public safety during emergency situations, such as the implementation of vehicular restrictions on state roads.
A Severe Cold Weather Protocol is in effect in Connecticut starting at noon on Friday, Jan. 23, and will remain in effect until noon on Wednesday, Jan. 28.
